Shohei Ohtani Makes History with 51 Home Runs and 51 Stolen Bases
(Central News Agency Reporter Li Jianzhong, Taipei, 20th) Major League Baseball (MLB) Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani has achieved an astonishing record of 51 home runs and 51 stolen bases, a feat that has left the sports world in awe.
The Dodgers played against the Miami Marlins in the 6th, 7th, and 9th innings, with Ohtani’s personal single-season record of 51 home runs and 51 stolen bases making him the first player in major league history to achieve this milestone.
A “Video Game Character” Comes to Life
Super player Yu Weizong, who will compete in the finals of the Taipei e-Sports Baseball Top 12 Qualifying Tournament tomorrow, has been playing “live baseball” for 29 years. When interviewed by a reporter from the Central News Agency, he laughingly said: “Otani’s performance is better than a video game.”
Yu Weizong usually works as a government employee and can use his time to “practice”, but since he is married and has children, he can play online games for up to 1 or 2 hours a day to keep up with the experience and learn from other players’ ideas.
Yu Weizong revealed that he has to go to work, he can’t watch MLB broadcasts during the day, but when he gets home he will watch replays when he has free time. He even watches TV broadcasts, finding it difficult to train such a player in competitive games. “You may have to set the ability value directly from the background,” he said.
