The stars of “Gangs of london” are revealing their distinct approaches to handling the show’s intense scenes. Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, who embodies Elliot Finch, a cop navigating London’s criminal underworld, and Narges Rashidi, portraying Kurdish gang leader Lale, shared their preparation methods at the Monte-carlo TV Festival. Rashidi relies on high energy to get into character. “I scream,” Rashidi said.”I run around a lot to get my adrenaline very high… That realy helps me. It’s actually a very technical thing.”
Dìrísù, however, prefers a quieter approach. “I’ll disappear and then you’ll only see me appear when it’s like: ‘Okay, we’re ready,’” he said. “I’ll go hide in the corner somewhere, or go for a walk, because sets can be very noisy places.
