Garcelle Beauvais, 58, is expanding her acting and producing career after leaving “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (RHOBH). Beauvais cited wanting to spend more time with family and focus on her Hollywood goals as reasons for her departure from the reality show.
Beauvais, who has been acting sence the late 1980s, gained a new fanbase from “RHOBH.” She is known for her roles in “the Jamie Foxx show” and “NYPD Blue.” Her role as an actress also continues on Netflix’s ”Survival of the Thickest,” which has been renewed for a third season.
The former “RHOBH” star is expanding her partnership with Lifetime, where she will star in and executive produce new films. According to a statement, the upcoming films include “Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie,” and “Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love.” Both films are sequels.
