New Energy Secretary ‌Pledges⁤ Continuity,Accelerated ‌Renewable Advancement

MANILA,Philippines – Newly appointed‍ Energy Secretary Sharon Garin has pledged⁣ to sustain ongoing reforms and uphold existing policies ‍within the ‌Department​ of Energy (DOE),while‍ simultaneously prioritizing the ⁣acceleration of ⁢renewable energy development and the expansion of⁢ electrification initiatives across the⁣ nation.

In her first official⁣ statement ⁣since assuming the crucial role, Garin assured‌ the “energy family” and ⁣partners in both public and private sectors ⁢of the department’s “steadfast commitment to ⁢the continuity ​of energy sector policies and reform initiatives.” She takes over from Raphael Lotilla, who‍ has transitioned to‌ head the Department of Habitat and Natural Resources.

Garin outlined her key priorities, vowing to pursue “the acceleration of renewable energy development, the expansion of electrification​ efforts, ‍the enhancement‍ of energy resiliency, and the continued strengthening of our investment climate.”
