Ministry of Health Takes Measures Against Intestinal Flu Outbreak in Aswan Governorate
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister of Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, has received a detailed report on the measures taken by the Ministry of Health to address the recent outbreak of intestinal flu symptoms in Aswan Governorate.
Central Team Monitors Patients in 4 Hospitals
A central team from the preventive medicine sector, led by Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Health, has been dispatched to Aswan to monitor the situation. The team visited the University Hospital, Al-Masala Hospital, Al-Sadaqa Hospital, and Darau Central Hospital, where they interviewed patients, reviewed medical care, and assessed their health status.
The team also conducted home visits in several villages to assess the situation and provide necessary awareness to citizens on the health situation and preventive measures.
Virtual Workshop for Doctors and Hospital Staff
A virtual workshop was held for doctors, department heads, and hospital staff to provide training on diagnosis, treatment, and referral protocols for emergency cases and intensive care. Additional meetings are scheduled to raise awareness among doctors and hospital staff.
Availability of Essential Supplies and Medicines
The central team met with the Governor of Aswan, Major General Ismail Kamal, to review the ministry’s efforts and assess the health status of infected cases. The Minister of Health has ordered hospital managers to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and medicines.
The Minister has also directed the strengthening of awareness campaigns on ways to prevent gastrointestinal infections and maintain personal and public health.
