You’ve already got your present,'” she laughed. “I was like, ‘Ah no, go on!’ And Mr. Appleby senior said,’Try them on,’ so I tried them on,and he said,’You have to buy them now because you’re not allowed to try on earrings because we can’t resell them!'”

Naas,Ireland – Crona Byrne,daughter of the late broadcasting legend Gay Byrne,has revealed plans for a subdued Christmas,marking the first holiday season without both of her parents.Speaking recently, Crona shared that the festive period will be “very different” following the passing of her mother, Kathleen Watkins, just weeks ago. “We’re just going to have a very quiet one,” she said, “myself, my husband, and our two kids.”
The family will join friends for Christmas Eve at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin before returning to their home in Naas for a quiet Christmas Day.
“It’s going to be a hard one,” Crona admitted. “Day to day will be different. We’ll obviously go out to visit the grave.”
Despite the sadness, Crona plans to uphold cherished family traditions. She will continue the custom of joining her cousin on Christmas Eve for Mass, followed by snacks at their home.
