What Happened: Flotilla Returns to Port
an aid flotilla comprised of dozens of boats, which set sail for Gaza yesterday, has returned to port in Barcelona due to stormy weather, according to organizers. The Global Sumud Flotilla Mission stated, “We conducted a sea trial and then returned to port to allow the storm to pass. This meant delaying our departure to avoid risking complications with the smaller boats,” noting winds reached approximately 56kp/h (35 mph).
The organizers have not yet announced a revised departure date.
