A recent Israeli strike on ⁢a‌ residential building ‌in the Jabaliya refugee ‍camp in ⁣the ‍Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 14 people, according to Gaza health officials. the Israel-Hamas conflict continues to take a devastating toll on civilians.

Shifa and al-Ahli ‍hospitals ⁤reported that among the dead were five women and seven children. The gaza Strip,a ‌densely populated⁣ area,has ‌been‍ the scene of intense fighting.

The Israeli ‌military has not yet ‍commented ⁣on the specific incident. Though, Israel maintains‌ that it targets​ only ​militants and takes measures to⁢ avoid civilian casualties, blaming hamas for embedding within ‌civilian⁤ populations. The Israeli military asserts it adheres to international law.

The current ​war began after Hamas militants attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, resulting in approximately 1,200 deaths and the abduction of 251 people. Dozens⁢ of ⁤hostages‌ remain‌ in captivity.
