‘Gears of War Reloaded’ Beta Extended After Player Feedback

The Coalition, developer of ‘Gears of war Reloaded,’ has responded to player feedback by extending the game’s multiplayer beta test. The test, which began last weekend, will resume this weekend with expanded hours adn a new game mode.
Announced on social media, the beta’s end time has been pushed back nine hours to 9 p.m. PDT on Sunday, June 22 (12 a.m. EDT, June 23). In addition to King of the Hill, players can now test their skills in Execution mode. Maps include Gridlock, Raven Down (Courtyard and war Machine), and Canals. Team Deathmatch and Gold Rush remain available.

‘Gears of war Reloaded,’ a remaster of the original 2006 title, includes all post-launch content from ’Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.’ Microsoft is offering free upgrades to owners of the ‘Ultimate edition’.
The game is slated for release on Aug. 28 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Cross-platform play and cross-progression will be supported. This marks the first time a ‘Gears of war’ title will appear on a PlayStation console. Microsoft has not yet confirmed cross-platform capabilities for ‘Gears of War: E-Day,’ expected in 2026 for Xbox’s 25th anniversary.
