NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service is celebrating its sixth anniversary with a flurry of updates, including a launch on Amazon Fire TV devices and the addition of over a dozen new games to its library. The service, which now boasts over 4,500 titles, continues to expand its reach and capabilities, offering gamers access to high-end gaming experiences without the need for expensive hardware.

The anniversary festivities include a community giveaway hosted on Reddit, offering prizes like Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and Thrustmaster HOTAS ONE flight sticks through February 20. Gamers can also participate in celebrations and events within the GeForce NOW Discord community.

A Growing Library for Every Gamer

GeForce NOW’s core strength lies in its expansive library, offering instant access to a diverse range of games. The service supports titles from major storefronts including Steam, Xbox (including PC Game Pass titles), the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, and GOG.com. This broad compatibility, combined with the “Install-to-Play” feature – which allows users to install Steam games directly for cloud gaming – effectively doubles the number of playable titles available through the service.

NVIDIA has focused on improving library navigation with curated rows highlighting new releases, RTX-enhanced games, and popular free-to-play options. Tags simplify the discovery of deals and downloadable content. For Ultimate members, priority server access ensures faster entry into games and a more consistent experience.

Battlefield 6 and Beyond

The latest addition to the GeForce NOW library, Battlefield 6, is launching its second season, “Extreme Measures.” This update introduces a new map set in a contaminated German mountainside airbase, featuring dynamic cover and hazards that force players to adapt to shifting conditions. The game leverages the cloud infrastructure to deliver instant access to the latest content without requiring downloads or patches.

Beyond Battlefield 6, several other titles have recently been added to the GeForce NOW roster. Styx: Blades of Greed, a stealth-action game focused on looting and subterfuge, is now available. New releases also include Norse: Oath of Blood (February 17 on Steam), Diablo and Diablo + Hellfire Expansion (February 18 on Ubisoft Connect), Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown (February 18 on Steam and optimized for GeForce RTX 5080), STALCRAFT: X (free on the Epic Games Store February 19), Ys X: Proud Nordics (February 20 on Steam), and several titles from the Trine series available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The addition of Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown highlights NVIDIA’s commitment to supporting the latest hardware. The game is optimized for the GeForce RTX 5080, demonstrating the performance benefits available through the cloud gaming service.

Expanding Platform Support

The launch of GeForce NOW on Amazon Fire TV devices represents a significant expansion of the service’s accessibility. This allows users to stream games directly to their televisions without the need for a dedicated gaming PC or console. This move aligns with NVIDIA’s strategy of making high-performance gaming available on a wider range of devices.

a native beta app for Linux PCs is now available, broadening the service’s compatibility and catering to a growing segment of the gaming community. This demonstrates NVIDIA’s responsiveness to user demand and its commitment to supporting diverse operating systems.

GeForce NOW has streamed over a billion hours of games in the past six years, a testament to its growing popularity and the increasing demand for cloud gaming solutions. With its expanding library, platform support, and hardware optimization, GeForce NOW is poised to continue its growth and solidify its position as a leading cloud gaming service.
