LiAngelo Ball Announces Debut Album ‘League Of My Own’

LiAngelo Ball, also known as GELO, is set to release his debut album, League Of My Own, on June 27. The album, which includes the new single “Booted Up,” features GloRilla and marks GELOS official label debut under Def Jam Recordings.

GELO initially teased the album at Rolling Loud California in March. He announced the release date and his latest single, “Booted Up,” in a black-and-white video. The track features lyrics about his unique style and confident demeanor over a beat by ThomasMBeats.
League Of My Own will also include “Can You Please,” featuring GloRilla, and GELO’s breakout hit, “Tweaker.” While some fans hoped for a Lil Wayne remix of “Tweaker,” it appears it will not be included on this album.The album title reflects GELO’s basketball background and his burgeoning music career.
GELO discussed his decision to sign with Def Jam Recordings, noting their cooperative approach. “They had the best deal for real,” GELO told billboard. “They [weren’t] just talking. They [were] ready to cooperate with us… Giving us feedback that we [were] rocking with. They put it together nice.”
Following performances at NBA All-Star Weekend and Rolling Loud, the pressure is on for GELO to demonstrate that his initial success with “Tweaker” was not a fluke. The release of League Of My Own is highly anticipated.
