Godolkin University’s students have their work cut out for them when Gen V, the college-based spinoff of The Boys, returns to Prime Video. The first look at season two debuted at CCXP Mexico on Saturday, revealing a Sept. 17 premiere date with three episodes, followed by weekly releases until Oct. 22.
Set after the fourth season of The Boys, with Homelander’s influence looming large, Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her cohort return to godolkin from a rehabilitation center. Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater) aims to prepare them for a possible supe-human conflict. While some students are eager to prepare, Marie and her friends find themselves divided. The discovery of a secret program from the school’s past further complicates matters for these Gen V students as they navigate their powers and responsibilities in a world on the brink.
The new season of Gen V will address the passing of chance Perdomo, who played Andre. Perdomo died in a motorcycle accident in spring 2024, shortly before production began. The show’s team decided not to recast his role, instead adjusting the season to reflect his absence.
