Saly : La gendarmerie démantèle un réseau présumé de pr0xénétisme en ligne
The Saly Research Brigade, under the Mbour Gendarmerie Company, has dismantled a hard drug trafficking and prostitution network involving Senegalese and Nigerians operating in nightclubs in the commune of Saly Portudal.
On January 26, 2026, around 5 a.m., gendarmes arrested Mr. Diouf alias Momo, a Senegalese national, along with L. Dieng and JTD Sagbamaoui of Nigerian origin near the Elton station in Saly Portudal while they were returning from the upper floor of a local nightclub on a Tmax brand motorcycle.
Twenty crack balls worth ten thousand francs each were found in the pockets of Mr. Diouf alias Momo, who had long controlled the hard drug trade in Saly and surrounding areas.
Condoms, a Nigerian passport and a vaccination booklet were found in the bag of JTD Sagbamaoui, who claimed to have met Mr. Diouf alias Momo and L. Dieng upstairs where a compromise was reached for a session accompanied by crack consumption.
Investigators also apprehended SM Diop and M. Sarr, two potential clients of Mr. Diouf alias Momo who obtained crack cocaine daily from him.
The operation followed surveillance and tailing efforts initiated after reports indicated intense hard drug trafficking, particularly crack, in certain nightclubs of Saly Portudal.
The dismantled network was alleged to operate in several nightclubs and involved drug trafficking, prostitution, and pimping activities.
