Assicurazioni Generali SpA has established three dedicated Transformation Hubs to evaluate how artificial intelligence, environmental, social, and governance models, and active aging are reshaping the workplace, milanofinanza.it reported. The initiative brings together company representatives and labor unions in joint committees tasked with forming concrete operational proposals.
Group Chief Executive Officer Philippe Donnet stated that the experience stems from the conviction that major transformations must be understood and governed through dialogue, listening, and participation.

Implementation of the Participatory Framework Under Law 76
The project puts into practice Italian law number 76 of 2025, which promotes active worker participation in enterprise management, capital, and profits. This alignment enabled Generali’s supplementary corporate contract to earn the “good participation practices” stamp from the National Council for Economics and Labor, known as CNEL.
CNEL President Renato Brunetta criticized past approaches to worker involvement, stating that the Italian production system has long viewed participation with suspicion, treating it as a cost or a constraint on enterprise autonomy. Brunetta added that adopting a participatory paradigm transforms what was once perceived as an operational burden into an investment in productivity, skills, and work quality.
Scientific Partnership With Luiss Guido Carli University
To guide the discussions across the three hubs, Generali enlisted the scientific collaboration of Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, whose faculty members will moderate the working sessions. Gianluca Perin noted that the initiative has secured the backing of all labor representations, positioning the effort to become a benchmark in industrial relations.
Within the artificial intelligence hub, the company committed to sharing tools, selection criteria, and deployment choices with trade unions. Meanwhile, the active aging committee focuses on recognizing and using skills across all age demographics.
