George Miller “Huckleberry” Fox, known for his role as the youngest son of Debra Winger and Jeff Daniels in Terms of Endearment, passed away on November 3 in Washington, DC. He was 50 years old.
His death was confirmed by Potter Funeral Service in Massachusetts.
In Terms of Endearment, Fox’s standout scene features him tearfully saying goodbye to his dying mother. After this film, he appeared in movies such as Misunderstood, American Dreamer, Konrad, and The Blue Yonder before leaving acting.
Fox graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon School and continued his education at New York University and Cornell University, earning a Master’s Degree in animal science. He later obtained a doctorate from the University of Florida in plant medicine.
After his studies, Fox worked as a scientist and diplomat for the United States Department of Agriculture.
He is survived by his wife, Mercy, two sons, five siblings, and his parents.
