Martin hasn’t‌ confirmed if the seventh book ⁣will be the final‌ one, so readers might see more stories in⁤ the future. HBO ⁤had to finish the later⁣ seasons of its television series based on Martin’s rough outline as he delayed completing the two planned books.

“I wanted to kill more characters, but not the ones they’d already killed in the ‌television version. HBO essentially gave it a happy ending,” Martin⁢ told The Hollywood Reporter. Read the full interview here.
