As the 2025 Formula 1 season progresses, the driver market buzz intensifies, especially with Cadillac’s impending arrival in 2026. Among those currently without a contract for the future is George Russell, fresh off a victory. Despite the uncertainty, Russell maintains he is “loyal to Mercedes” adn unconcerned about his contract status.
Russell and his Mercedes teammate, rookie Kimi Antonelli, are both contracted through 2025.Following his Canadian Grand Prix win, Russell addressed his future, stating, “I’m not concerned at all about next year. I know I’m going to be on the grid next year. I feel that I’m driving better than ever.” He added that he feels ready to contend for a world championship.
