Hamburg Court Hears Dramatic Allegations Against Restaurant Scion Christina Block
Hamburg, Germany – The scion of a prominent German restaurant dynasty, Christina Block, is at the center of a sensational court case, accused of orchestrating the abduction of her two youngest children with the help of former Israeli secret service agents. The dramatic allegations, unveiled in a Hamburg family court, paint a picture of a bitter custody dispute escalating into a Hollywood-esque thriller.
A High-Stakes Custody War
Christina Block, daughter of the founder of the renowned Block House restaurant chain, married Stephan Hensel in 2005. The couple, who share four children, separated in 2014 and divorced in 2018. Hensel later relocated to Denmark, where he resided with their eldest daughter.
The court heard that on New Year’s Eve 2023, the two youngest children, then aged 10 and 13, were allegedly snatched by masked individuals while watching fireworks in the Danish town of Gråsten. Prosecutors claim the children’s father was assaulted, and the youngsters were then transported, with their mouths taped shut,by van to a farm in southern Germany owned by Ms. Block.
This alleged abduction is presented as a drastic escalation in a protracted and acrimonious custody battle. Block contends that Hensel had, for two years, prevented the youngest children from returning to Germany, thereby violating an agreement that stipulated the children would live with her during the week and spend alternate weekends with their father.
Conversely, hensel alleges that their two younger children, now aged 11 and 14, reported instances of violence by their mother. Block vehemently denies these accusations, asserting that Hensel is manipulating their children as retribution for their failed marriage. Following the alleged kidnapping, the two youngest children were eventually returned to their father, and Block has had no contact with them as.
Allegations of espionage and Extortion
The prosecution is expected to present evidence detailing approximately 300 hours of work allegedly performed by the purported ex-Israeli spies. Reports suggest Ms. Block was invoiced a staggering €1.4 million for these services. The evidence is also said to include sketches of Hensel’s Danish residence and details of hidden cameras discovered outside the property.
Block has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Her defense team has put forth alternative explanations for the incident, including the possibility that the plan was conceived by her late mother. another theory suggests the operation was carried out by rogue security contractors aiming to exploit Block’s wealth by preying on a mother’s anxieties for her children’s well-being. The defense maintains that Block never paid the alleged operatives because their plan “went terribly wrong.”
“Psychologically she was totally desperate, she humiliated herself,” stated Ingo Bott, Block’s lead defense lawyer, during the court proceedings.
If convicted,Christina Block faces a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years.
Partner Also Faces Charges
Adding another layer to the complex legal drama, Block’s new partner, Gerhard Delling, a well-known german sports television presenter, stands accused of aiding in the logistics of the alleged kidnapping.Delling has denied these charges.
The trial is expected to involve a significant number of witnesses, with 140 individuals slated to testify. Among them are reportedly one of the alleged kidnappers and the eldest of the two children who were reportedly abducted.
