DITZINGEN, Germany⁤ – Trumpf, the laser technology and​ mechanical engineering firm, announced plans to reduce its workforce⁤ by 430 positions at its ditzingen headquarters. The move comes⁣ as the company faces increasing costs and declining demand‍ in a challenging⁤ global economy.

The family-run‍ company, based near Stuttgart in baden-Württemberg, confirmed the job cuts, which will⁢ affect approximately⁤ 7% of the 6,200 employees‍ at the Ditzingen ​location. Trumpf had previously ⁢implemented cost-saving measures,including reduced working hours and salaries‌ for around⁢ 500 employees last year.
