Achères Celery Festival 2024: A Fun-Filled Weekend for All

Achères in the Yvelines (78) department is set to host its annual Celery Festival, a 61-year-old local tradition that promises a fun-filled weekend for all. On October 5 and 6, 2024, the Ferme Intégraterre will come alive with lively guinguettes, gourmet food stalls, concerts, and a host of activities for the whole family.

The Celery Festival, which was created by the Tourism Board in the 1960s as a competition to the town’s Whitsun Country Festival, has become a beloved event in the region. This year’s festival promises to be just as exciting, with a range of activities and entertainment for all ages.

Visitors can look forward to stalls selling fresh produce and food, including sausages and chips, gourmet pastries, and local specialties. There will also be dance performances and two concerts, including one by l’Estival. Don’t miss the drawing competition and balcony flower prize-giving at 4 pm.

Families will be delighted by the Bee Stilt Show, the Stick Man and Mother Nature, as well as the small eco-flower carousel. The live farm with geese and the Epona Nature Club’s ‘Meet and Care for a Pony’ workshop are also not to be missed.

Asher Celery Festival Sunday Schedule:

• Two concerts, including an Estival concert
• Throughout the day, there will be drawing competitions for members of the Ombres et Lumières association, with prizes awarded on stage before the final concert at 4 pm.
• Abeyes the stilt walker

• Small Eco Flower Carousel
• Large live farm and goose show.
• Events and workshops organized by Intégraterre
• “Knowing and Caring for Ponies” workshop in partnership with Epona Nature Club
