Free⁤ Pet Sterilization Program in⁣ Medellín: A Key to Responsible Pet Ownership

How to ⁤Access the Program

Once registered, pet owners will receive a summons call to confirm their appointment. ‍Only‌ those who have ​been notified in ‌advance will be served. Pet⁣ owners who ‍registered⁣ more than⁣ six months ago‌ are​ advised ​to re-register to ensure their information is up-to-date.

Requirements for Participation

To be eligible for the program, pets must meet the following requirements:

• Be between 4 months ⁢and 7 years old
• Be ⁢in optimal health
• Not be in heat, lactating, or pregnant
• Not be from ‍brachycephalic breeds

On⁣ the⁢ day of the procedure, pet owners must:

• Fast their pet for at least⁣ 8 ⁣hours
• Bring their cat in⁢ a crate ⁣and their dog on‌ a lead
• Provide a blanket for‌ each animal

Pet owners must⁢ also belong to tiers 1, 2, or 3 and bring a photocopy of their ⁣identity card and utility‍ bill ⁢on the day of the ‍operation.
