Apple Prepares to Launch New Mac Family Starting This Week
Following the recent announcement of the new iPad mini, Apple is set to unveil new Mac products throughout the week.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing, took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm that the announcements will kick off on Monday morning (US West Coast time).
What’s New?
- New Mac mini models: According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is developing a Mac mini using the M4 chip, which will be smaller than the current model, similar to the Apple TV 4K.
- Other Mac models with the M4 chip: The 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros and new iMacs are also expected to feature the M4 chip.
- M4 Pro and Max chips: Some sources suggest that the new MacBook Pro and Mac mini will have both M4 and M4 Pro chips, with the MacBook Pro possibly offering an M4 Max chip option.
