Get Ready for a Spooktacular Night: Medellín’s Costume Festival Takes Center Stage This Tuesday, October 29
This Tuesday, October 29, characters from reality and fiction will occupy Centenario Avenue, between the stadium and the Obelisk, in a costume festival for all audiences.
There will be four sessions for girls, boys, young people, adults, older people, pregnant mothers, people with disabilities and their carers.
During the day, 6,000 participants are expected and 140 prizes will be awarded to the most original, creative costumes with aesthetic value. The setting is similar to a concert and the classes will be led by professional trainers of four physical activity strategies.
Timetables and activities
The first session will be between 2:00 pm and 3:15 pm, when the Parade of Legends and Legends will take place from Plazoleta Suramericana to Avenida Centenario. The opening will be with a performance for people with disabilities and their carers, led by the Sin Límites programme.
The second session, from 3:45pm to 5:00pm, will be led by Canas Al Aire for older people. The next slot will be functional training for youth and adults, between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, in collaboration with the Gyms strategy.
Finally, from 7:00pm. until 9:00 pm, there will be aerobics and a functional and rumba class for the public. The event will be broadcast from 2:00pm on Telemedellín. In this way, the Area guarantees safe spaces for physical activity and leisure, framed in popular celebrations.
