Busan ‌transforms into a ‘city of festivals’ and a ‘city of tourism and MICE’ in October.

‘Festival October’, a Busan-style convergence exhibition and convention project, will have a​ grand opening on​ October 1.

According to Busan City, ‘Festival October’ will be ⁤held from October 1 to 8 with 17 events in 6​ fields, including music, film, culture, food, industry, and technology, under the theme of ⁣’October Wind’.

Busan City Benchmarking the World’s Largest Convergence ⁤Event

In ‌order to grow as‌ a world-class convention city, Busan City benchmarked the world’s largest convergence event ‘South by Southwest’ (SXSW) held in Austin, Texas.

Busan City‍ planned ‘Festival October’ as a Busan-style convergence festival.

Festival October includes Busan International Film Festival, Asian Contents Film Market, Busan ‍International Rock Festival, K⁣ Music Season Good ⁣Night Concert, Busan Global Webtoon Festival, World Creator Festival, Beyond Hangul & K Culture, Busan International Performing Arts Market, International Food​ Expo &⁣ Marina Chef Challenge, Craft Beer Festival, Asia Startup Expo, Busan⁣ Design Festival, ASEAN-Korea Fashion Week, ‌Data Global Hackathon, AI Data Seminar, and more.

By coordinating the timing of various festivals and international events⁤ held around October, ‘Festival October’ was newly ‌born as a festival of festivals.

Siwol ‍Village: ⁢A Base Space for Event⁢ Participants and Visitors

The organizers operate ‘Siwol Village’ in the BEXCO outdoor parking lot as a base space for event participants and visitors to interact during‌ the festival period.

‘Siwol Village’ is decorated with a national pavilion, theme house, VIP lounge,‍ food‍ and beverage (F&B) hall, convention house, ‌stage, and convenience facilities.

Here, 44 performances will be held from 11 ‌a.m. to 10 p.m., 15 ‌types of content exhibitions ‍and 6 international conferences ⁤will be held.
