Get Ready for a Visual Revolution: Apple Unveils Plans for 90Hz Screens on iPad Air, Studio Display, and iMac
Apple Developing 90Hz Screen for iPad Air, Studio Display, and iMac
Apple is reportedly working on a 90Hz screen, a significant upgrade from the traditional 60Hz refresh rate used in its devices for a long time. This new screen technology is expected to be featured in the upcoming iPad Air, Studio Display, and 24-inch iMac.
What to Expect from the 90Hz Screen
According to a recent podcast by Myke Hurley and Jason Snell, Apple is developing a 90Hz screen, although the exact specifications and details have not been confirmed. Currently, the iPad Air, 24-inch iMac, and Studio Display use 60Hz screens, which may soon be replaced by the new 90Hz technology.
This news comes after Ross Young revealed that all iPhone 17 models would support 120Hz promotion. However, this is the first time Apple has been rumored to develop a 90Hz screen, which could be a significant upgrade for its devices.
Upcoming Devices with 90Hz Screen
Bloomberg reported that the next-generation iPad Air could be launched in early 2025, although the specifications are still unknown. Apple recently released the 24-inch iMac with the M4 chip, so a new iMac with the 90Hz screen could be launched by the end of 2025.

If the iPad Air, iMac, and Studio Display come with the 90Hz screen, it could set a precedent for other Apple products to move away from the traditional 60Hz refresh rate.
