Apple Releases tvOS⁤ 18 with Enhanced⁣ Features for ​Apple TV 4K and‍ Apple TV HD

Apple has started shipping⁤ tvOS ⁢18 for Apple ⁣TV 4K and Apple TV HD, introducing several new features to enhance the‍ viewing experience. One of the key⁢ updates is the ability to clearly reproduce spoken voices in video content.

Dialogue Boost and Subtitles

The new “Dialogue Boost” feature uses machine learning and computational ​audio ‍to render speech even⁤ more ⁣clearly. Additionally, subtitles will⁤ now automatically appear at optimal times, such‌ as when the sound is muted, when you rewind⁣ while watching, or when a show or movie is in a language different from your device’s.

Insights and New Screensavers

tvOS 18 also⁢ introduces an Insights feature that displays timely information about the actors, characters, and music appearing in ‍all live-action films and shows on Apple TV+​ in real time. Furthermore, new screensavers like Portrait will be added to⁣ the ⁣platform.

Home App Updates

Future Updates

Apple has announced that tvOS 18 will support 21:9 aspect ratio for playing movies and shows on a projector ⁢by the end of this year.
