Return to Santiago: Over 300,000 Cars Expected to Return to the Metropolitan Region this Weekend
Following the National Holiday celebrations, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has announced that approximately 400,000 vehicles are expected to return to the Metropolitan Region (RM) from Friday to Sunday.
Out of the 850,000 vehicles that left the capital, 550,000 have already returned. The remaining vehicles are expected to return this weekend, with the MOP planning for the entry and return of 420,000 vehicles.
According to the Undersecretary of Public Works, José Andrés Herrera, “We have planned the entry and return to Santiago this weekend, that is, today, Friday the 20th, tomorrow, Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd, of 420,000 vehicles; 100,000 today, Friday, 150,000 tomorrow, Saturday, and 170,000 on Sunday.”

- Saturday, September 21: 12:00 to 24:00
- Sunday, September 22: 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
Route 68
- Saturday, September 21: 11:00 am to 11:00 pm
- Sunday, September 22: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
Route 78
- Saturday, September 21: 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- Sunday, September 22: 11:00 am to 11:00 pm
Route 5 South
- Saturday, September 21: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Sunday, September 22: 09:00 am to 11:00 pm
Toll to Luca after Returning to Santiago
The Luca Toll towards Santiago will be operated at the following times:
