Powerchair Football ‍Championship Japan 2024

The Powerchair Football Championship Japan 2024, the Japan championship tournament for electric wheelchair soccer, will be held‍ on November 2nd (Saturday) and November 3rd (Sunday/Holiday) at Ecopa Arena in Shizuoka Prefecture. This‍ tournament will be the ⁢30th commemorative tournament.

Electric wheelchair soccer is an innovative⁤ sport​ that can be enjoyed even by ‌people with severe⁢ disabilities. The players‌ skillfully⁢ operate the machines and kick the ball at each other using​ iron foot guards attached to the front ⁤of⁤ the machine. The highlights are the brilliant passes, ⁣dribbling, and spin kicks that are performed with delicate control. One of the attractions is that it is a mixed race, and anyone can participate regardless of age. The sight ‌of operating ‍the joystick with your fingertips or chin and playing⁤ as one with the machine ⁣is a sight to behold.

This weekend, 19 teams from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Kagoshima, will gather to compete for the top spot in Japan.
