tvOS 18: Intelligent Features and Enhanced Home App

Apple’s latest tvOS 18 update introduces a range of intelligent features, including InSight, which provides real-time information on actors, characters, and songs from Apple TV+ live-action shows and movies. Dialogue Enhancement has also been improved, utilizing machine learning and computational audio to deliver crisp, clear speech. Additionally, closed captions now automatically appear when the audio is muted.

The Home app has been updated with a new “Guest Access” feature, allowing users to grant guests control over locks, garage doors, and other security systems. Permissions can be scheduled on an individual basis or based on the time of entry to the smart lock-equipped home. Users can also view guest activity history.

• Cleaning and vacuuming robots are now available with the Home app, and can be used with automation and scenes.
