Alteo announced the start of infrastructure work on Phase 1 of Anahita Beau Champ, its 118-hectare real estate development located in the east of the country. They will be launched at the end of October.
This is a key step to the realization of this project, which recently received its Smart City Certificate from the Economic Development Board. The work will be carried out by the company Transinvest, one of the subsidiaries of the Colas group and one of the leaders in the field of construction in Mauritius. Phase 1 of Anahita Beau Champ had already generated great enthusiasm and the building land quickly found buyers.
This success cannot be denied, as of the 28 phase 2 building plots recently put on the market, 27 have already been reserved. David Martial, CEO of Alteo real estate cluster, said:
“Launching infrastructure work is a major step in the process of realizing our Smart City, and the influx of reservations shows the positive dynamics of this project and the confidence we have. The Anahita Beau Champ project, led by Alteo, aims to be a real catalyst for the regeneration of the economic fabric of the East, a region that is at the heart of our mission of “Making the East an eternal place to grow”. Our aim is to create new opportunities, modern infrastructure and an environment that is conducive to the sustainable growth of businesses and communities around us.”
Anahita Beau Champ offers a harmonious balance between residential spaces (50%) and mixed uses (50%) including shops, schools, and leisure facilities. Phase 1 will span 100 hectares, with 50 hectares set aside for residential land intended for Mauritians and international buyers with a residence permit.
The first phase of the project also includes the rehabilitation of the former Deep River sugar factory, transformed into a multi-purpose space that will include modern offices, co-working spaces, and state-of-the-art sports facilities, including the RM. Clubhouse, padel courts, and cycle paths. Educational facilities are not left out: Alteo has formed a strategic partnership with Clavis International Primary School, whose first classes will open in January 2025, and Le Bocage International School in order to offer first class education in the east the country
Furthermore, getting WELL Community pre-certification in 2023 shows Alteo’s vision of creating a quality, sustainable living environment in the east of the island. This label, issued by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), testifies to Anahita Beau Champ’s commitment to integrating and promoting the principles of well-being and development of its residents and other visitors which are at the heart of its design.
