Global entertainment service Netflix has confirmed the production of a new series, revealing a talented casting lineup featuring Jeon So-ni, Lee Yu-mi, Jang Seung-jo, and Lee Moo-saeng.
A Story of Two Women Fighting for Survival
The series tells the story of two women who decide to take drastic action in the face of a harsh reality that they cannot escape unless they kill or die. Jeon So-ni, known for her delicate acting and versatility, plays ‘Eun-soo’, an employee at a luxury goods store in a department store. Eun-soo has been living with trauma since childhood and makes a bold decision to save her friend ‘Hee-soo’ who is struggling with similar pain.
Lee Yu-mi, who has impressed audiences with her unique characters, takes on the role of Hee-soo, a friend of Eun-soo who is desperate to escape the cycle of violence. Hee-soo was once a promising children’s book writer, but her life has become a living hell due to her husband. The meeting of Jeon So-ni and Lee Yu-mi is expected to bring depth and immersion to the series.
A Cast of Complex Characters
Jang Seung-jo, known for his perfect acting transformations, plays the role of Jin-pyo, the husband of ‘Hee-soo’. Jin-pyo threatens the two women in his own way, creating endless tension. Lee Moo-saeng, who has shown his unique presence in various films, plays the role of Jin So-baek, the CEO of Jinkang Trading Company. Jin So-baek becomes a strong supporter who helps Eun-soo and Hee-soo in their plan.

Director Lee Jung-rim, known for his stylish directing, brings the series to life. Studio S, Ghost Studio, and Miji Film Company are responsible for the production. The series is based on the original novel “Naomi and Kanako” by Okuda Hideo, which has been praised for its suspenseful storytelling and tension-filled portrayal of the main characters fighting against violence.
