WHITE SCORPION’s Captivating Music Video for “Ugoku Kuchibiru (Ugoku Lips)” Released
WHITE SCORPION, an 11-member idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto, has released the music video for “Ugoku Kuchibiru (Ugoku Lips),” the lead track from their first mini album “Caution.” The music video, directed by Shingu Ryohei, showcases the group’s unique style and captivating performances.
The music video begins with the 11 members emerging from the darkness against a gigantic cracked black wall, creating a sense of drama and tension. Each member performs while facing the wall, which serves as a boundary between their hearts and the outside world. The wall is a motif throughout the music video, symbolizing the obstacles that the girls must overcome to express themselves.
The song’s message is one of self-expression and empowerment, with the lyrics emphasizing the importance of speaking one’s mind and being true to oneself. The music video’s choreography is intricate and dynamic, with the members showcasing their individual strengths and styles.
Member ACE commented on the music video, saying, “This music video is filled with the individuality and strengths of each member of WHITE SCORPION. I hope you will pay attention to the barrage of dance and lip scenes where all the members go all out until they are out of breath.”
Director Shingu Ryohei also shared his thoughts on the music video, saying, “We created the music video while thinking about what makes a song WHITE SCORPION-like. I believe it has become a production with a strong theatrical quality that allows the girls to express in their own way the overflowing passion that is contained within the utterly pure and honest nature, and the fleeting youth.”
