Get Ready to Take the Plunge: Apple Watch Series 10 Set to Make a Splash with Enhanced ECG and Unbeatable Water Resistance
Apple Watch Series 10: Enhanced ECG Sensor and Improved Water Resistance
As the highly anticipated Apple event approaches, new rumors have surfaced about the Apple Watch Series 10 specs. According to recent reports, the Apple Watch is set to receive an all-new sensor, which will unlock new capabilities and provide more accurate results.
The updated ECG/heart rate sensor is expected to be featured in the Series 10 and Ultra 3 models, with exclusive features such as sleep apnea detection. This new feature was previously reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who stated that it would be a major addition, although it wouldn’t be supported on day one.
In addition to the enhanced ECG sensor, the waterproof feature has been improved, with a depth rating of up to 100 meters. This upgrade is expected to be certified for high-speed water sports, with a maximum depth of 20 meters. Furthermore, the Depth app, currently exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra, will be added to the regular model.
Two new watch faces will also be introduced to the Apple Watch Series 10: “Reflection” mode, which responds to ambient lighting, and “Regatta,” a mode exclusive to Hermes watches.
The Apple Watch SE 3 is also expected to feature the third-generation optical heart rate sensor, although it is unclear whether it will include an ECG sensor. The current model does not have an ECG sensor.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is set to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 16 at the Glow Time event. The new model is expected to feature a thinner body, a larger display, and new colors.
