Essam Mohsen Takes the Reins Following Ahmed Id Abdel Malik’s Departure
Ghazal El Mahalla has named essam Mohsen as interim technical director following the resignation of ahmed Id Abdel Malik.The move comes after a crushing 4-0 defeat to Zamalek, a result Mohsen described as “forgettable.”
“Certainly, its a very difficult task after the last match,” mohsen said in his first comments since taking the helm. Speaking on Mega FM radio’s “Second Program,” he acknowledged the challenge ahead while expressing respect for his predecessor. ”Ahmed Abdel Malik is a great coach,and I wish him success in the future.”
Mohsen, who has extensive experience in Egyptian football, believes a change was necessary. “Sometimes, change is very important,” he stated. “Marginal changes can make a big difference.”
The new interim coach highlighted his own credentials, emphasizing his nine seasons of experience in the Premier League and his work with renowned coach Ibrahim Youssef.”I have experience in the league and have also worked with my own team in the second division for almost 12 seasons,” Mohsen explained.
he expressed his commitment to the club’s success, stating, “I will serve the club anywhere. For football and the coaching profession, you have to be on the field, not away from it. I am interested in the success of any coach who comes.”
