Gimhae Health Center Recognized for Vaccination efforts
GIMHAE, South Korea (April 23, 2025) — The gyeongnam Gimhae Seobu Health Center has been lauded for its performance in the National Vaccination Project, officials announced Wednesday. The recognition spans the period of World Immunization Week, April 21-27.

High Vaccination Rates Earn Commendation
The commendation acknowledges the health center’s success in achieving high vaccination rates across several key areas. These include:
- 2024-2025 Influenza vaccination rate
- 2024-2025 Seasonal COVID-19 vaccination rate
- 2024 Senior Pneumococcal prevention rate
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rate
Proactive Outreach Boosts Immunization
The Gimhae Seobu Health Center actively promoted vaccinations thru personalized telephone consultations, targeting individuals 65 years and older for influenza, COVID-19, and pneumonia vaccinations.
Community Health Improved Through Targeted Programs
Specifically, outreach efforts to local health centers in Eup-myeon, a town with limited access to medical institutions, significantly improved community health. The health center reported achieving vaccination rates of 83.6% for influenza, 52% for COVID-19, and 74.4% for pneumonia among this population.
Official Remarks
Yoo Ha-jeong,of the Health Management Division,stated that the recognition reflects the community’s active participation in the national vaccination project. “it has led to valuable achievements that citizens actively participate in vaccination through the national vaccination project,” Yoo said.
