Lightning rods on a shaky roof. That is the central image driving “Parafulmini,” the new single from Italian singer Giorgia, released on October 2, 2026, via Epic/Sony Music.
The track arrives ahead of the expanded album edition G+1. It serves as an unreleased addition to her previous studio album G, which debuted at number one on the FIMI sales chart and earned a gold certification following its November 2025 release.
From a Live Surprise in Rome to the Studio
Giorgia surprised audiences by debuting “Parafulmini” live on September 24, 2026, at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome during her G Last Call tour.
The single was written by Lorenzo Fragola and Mario Castiglione, known as Mameli. Mameli also handled production duties for the track.
Song Portrays Love Shaped by Vulnerability and Fear
The song portrays a delicate love story shaped by vulnerability, fear, and the persistence to move forward together.
Lyrics center on a relationship that has already experienced fear, mistakes, and difficult moments. The protagonists do not seek safety by avoiding the storm. Instead, they choose to protect each other while actively crossing through it, with Quotidiano.net comparing the title’s imagery to something that intercepts and absorbs emotional discharges.
Quante volte siamo in preda al panico / Come parafulmini sui tetti sempre in bilico / Disperatamente / Io ti abbraccio e non cado nel vuoto / Spezzo il fiato per restare lucida / L’ultimo passo falso ci ha lasciato il livido
Tour Finale and the Arrival of G+1
Giorgia concludes her current tour on October 3, 2026, with a performance at the Unipol Dome in Milan. Organizers expect thousands of attendees following her prior concert at the Arena di Verona.
The expanded album G+1 is scheduled for release on October 16, 2026. This new version pairs every track from the original G album with live versions and new songs developed during the tour.
