In the relentless pursuit of saving lives, Professor Giovanni Scambia never had a moment to contemplate his own. On his last mission, dedicated to his duties in a world-renowned medical institution, he found himself, sadly, faced with his own mortality. On February 20, after a valiant 15-year battle with pancreatic cancer, Giovanni Scambia with a luminous impact as a luminary of oncological gynecology died. He was just 65 years old.
