Evie, an eight-year-old girl from March, Cambridgeshire, successfully completed a 100-mile (160-km) cycling challenge on August 25, 2024, raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. What makes this accomplishment especially inspiring is that Evie only learned to ride a bicycle in July 2024.
The challenge, undertaken throughout August, saw Evie cycle distances of up to 10 miles at a time to reach her aspiring goal. She ultimately raised nearly £700 for the charity.

Sired shared a poignant image on Facebook of herself and Evie soaked from the rain, with Evie visibly upset while continuing her ride. Despite the tears, Evie pressed on, demonstrating remarkable determination for her age.
“She made a commitment and saw it through,” Sired stated, highlighting her daughter’s unwavering spirit. “For an eight-year-old, that’s amazing.”
