Glen Powell‘s mom, Cyndy Powell, judged a lookalike contest for her son in Austin, Texas. The contest took place on Sunday, November 24, at Auditorium Shores. Participants competed for a $5 prize, a cowboy hat, and free queso from Torchy’s for a year.
Hundreds of fans attended the event. Cyndy gave a thumbs up to the winner while Glen, 36, joined via FaceTime to announce that the winning lookalike could gift a cameo in his next movie to a loved one.
The winner of the contest was Maxwell Braunstein, a physician’s assistant from Austin. He expressed joy, saying, “My face hasn’t hurt like this since I was 10 and at Disney World.”
Glen called into the event to share that the winner’s family member could also appear in his upcoming film. He encouraged Braunstein to take a picture together and enjoy his time in Austin.
