Dr. Badr Abdel Ati Attends ⁤Ministerial Meeting‍ in Sudan

Dr. Badr Abdel Ati,⁣ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Foreign Affairs⁣ of Egypt, attended a ministerial meeting in⁢ Sudan on Wednesday, September 25, alongside the meeting of the high-level segment of the 79th session of ⁤the United Nations General Assembly.

Egypt’s Commitment​ to Peace and Stability in Sudan

In his speech, the Foreign Minister ‌welcomed Egypt’s cooperation with all regional and international initiatives aimed at ending the war in Sudan ‌and mitigating the‌ crisis. He praised the international efforts to reach a ceasefire in ⁤Sudan and expressed Egypt’s‌ readiness to help achieve stability in Sudan ⁣and implement⁢ relief and humanitarian⁤ relief in all ​parts‍ of the country.

The ⁢Sudan Neighboring Countries Initiative

Dr. Badr Abdel Ati explained that Egypt’s firm commitment to achieving peace and ‍stability in Sudan led to the‌ launch ⁣of⁤ the Sudan Neighboring Countries Initiative in‍ July 2023. Egypt⁤ also participated in the Paris International Conference to support Sudan and neighboring countries ⁢and hosted the ‍Sudanese ⁤Political Powers Conference in ⁢Cairo in ‌July 2024. The conference aimed ‌to reach a consensus on the way to build a‌ comprehensive and lasting peace in Sudan, based on the Sudanese vision without outside interference, through ⁢a purely Sudanese national dialogue​ that brings together all Sudanese ⁣civil forces.

Dr. Abdel Ati ‍stressed the importance of ending the bloody conflict, working to ensure the​ success of Sudan’s transitional phase, and the need to protect all ⁣Sudanese states, allowing humanitarian aid to innocent civilians.
