President of Faso Receives Delegation of Burkinabe and Chinese Businessmen
Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, the President of Faso, received a delegation of Burkinabe and Chinese businessmen in audience on Friday, September 20, 2024.
The delegation, led by the Special Adviser to the Head of State LI YUBAO, was present in the Burkinabe capital as part of the Sino-Burkinabe business meeting. They discussed with the President of Faso the challenges of this meeting, which aims to strengthen cooperation between Burkina Faso and the People’s Republic of China.
The Sino-Burkinabe business forum was a success, according to the Special Adviser, as it sent a message to the world about Burkina Faso’s progress towards development. “In Burkina Faso, we have vast resources and we have entrepreneurs who are ambitious,” stated Mr. YUBAO, convinced of a bright future for the country.
During discussions with Chinese and Burkinabè businessmen, President Faso emphasized the need to move towards the industrialization of the country. The Head of State believes that a country’s development begins by strengthening its industrial fabric. Hence, several initiatives have been taken to enhance the production and processing capabilities of national companies.
The meeting was an opportunity for Burkina Faso to reaffirm its desire to develop and for the Special Adviser to express his optimism about the country’s future.
