South Korea and the Netherlands Strengthen Ties in Bilateral Relations and Climate Change Cooperation
South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol met with former Dutch Prime Minister Jan Pater Balkenende to discuss a wide range of topics, including bilateral relations, defense industry cooperation, and climate change.

Minister Cho emphasized the importance of security cooperation between South Korea and NATO, given the close link between European and Indo-Pacific security.
Minister Cho expressed hope for maintaining close communication with the Netherlands, which recently produced the next NATO Secretary General. This cooperation is expected to further strengthen ties between South Korea and the Netherlands in addressing global challenges.
