This was the result of the 83rd edition of the Golden Globes, which took place this Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles (California, United States).
The big prizes went to Hamnet, which was named best dramatic film, and “One Battle After Another,” which won best comedy or musical.
The latter,which is actually a political thriller directed by Californian Paul Thomas Anderson,arrived as the favorite with nine nominations and was the one that took home the most awards: four.
Though, it did not win best actor, for which Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated.
That recognition went to Timothée Chalamet for his leading role in Marty Supreme. At 30 years old,he is positioning himself as a favorite for the Oscars,whose nominations will be announced on the 22nd of this month.
Meanwhile, Sentimental Value, by Joachim Trier, aspired to eight but only won one: best supporting actor for Stellan Skarsgård.
The best foreign language film was the Brazilian O Agente Secreto (“The Secret Agent”), whose protagonist, Wagner Moura, also took home the corresponding award.
