Eva Pilgrim is set to take the helm of “Inside Edition” following Deborah Norville’s retirement, while DeMarco Morgan has departed his role at “GMA3.” The changes mark a significant shift for both anchors and the respective programs.
‘Inside Edition’ Gains a New Leader
Pilgrim was officially named the next anchor of the syndicated show on Monday, bringing her extensive news background to the long-running program. She begins her new assignment this fall.

‘GMA3’ Shifts Hosting Lineup Following Departure
The departure of Pilgrim and Morgan from “GMA3” will see a rotating group of Good Morning America personalities filling in. Lara Spencer, Will Reeve, Gio Benitez, Sam Champion, Rachel Scott, and James Longman will share hosting duties.
ABC News president almin Karamehmedovic praised both departing anchors in notes to ABC News staffers. He described Pilgrim as “tireless and keen, always ready for the next assignment.” Morgan,Karamehmedovic noted,”decided to leave the news association” and was lauded for “his devotion to journalism,and sharing with others is evident in everything he touches.”
Pilgrim and Morgan were named permanent co-anchors of “GMA3” in May 2023, following the controversial exits of Amy Rian and T.J. Holmes in January of the same year.The previous hosts were suspended for two months prior to their departure due to failing to disclose a romantic affair.

morgan brought a wealth of experience in local news to ABC News, joining the network in 2022 as a correspondent based in Los Angeles. He covered breaking news stories, including recent severe weather events in the western United States.
Prior to his time at ABC, Morgan served as co-anchor of the weekday morning and 11 a.m. KCBS newscasts, contributing reports to all CBS News networks. He also held previous anchoring positions at New York stations WCBS and WNBC, and served as a CBS News correspondent, solidifying his career as a respected journalist.
