Thai National Football Team Rises to 100th in FIFA Rankings
The Thai national team, led by manager Masatada Ishii, secured a crucial win in a warm-up match on FIFA Day, defeating Vietnam 2-1 on Tuesday night, September 10th.
Before the competition, the “War Elephant Army” was ranked 101 in the world with 1218.56 points. However, after their latest victory, they collected an additional 4.5 points, bringing their total to 1223.06 points.
This score will propel the team to 100th place in the world rankings by the end of September, overtaking Trinidad and Tobago, which has been struggling and dropped to 102nd place.
Vietnam, on the other hand, was ranked 115th in the world before the competition. However, their losses to Russia (0-3) and the Thai national team (1-2) on FIFA Day resulted in a loss of 6.64 points, causing them to fall to 117th in the world.

The Thai national team’s next program will be the 50th King’s Cup competition, scheduled to take place between October 7-15, 2024, in Songkhla province. The tournament will feature four countries: hosts Thailand, the Philippines, Syria, and Italy. This competition will also serve as a warm-up game on FIFA Day.
