Gold-plated durian given to public sale winner of ‘Durian Queen’

The Folks’s Committee of Krong Pac District (Dak Lak) will public sale two durians, Ri6 and Dona, which have received the title of “Durian Queen” for the second time. The profitable bidder will obtain a 24k gold-plated durian price 50 million VND.

Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, Vice Chairman of the Folks’s Committee of Krong Pak District, mentioned on the morning of August 22 that on the 2024 Krong Pak District Durian Pageant (from August 31 to September 2), the organizing committee will public sale two durians of the Ri6 and Dona varieties which have received the title of “Durian Queen”.

The public sale of those two durians, generally known as the “Durian Queen”, will happen on the workshop “Constructing and creating a sustainable durian ecosystem” on the morning of September 1.

“The public sale winners will obtain recent durian to get pleasure from and a 24k gold-plated durian price 50 million VND as a memento. The public sale winnings can be used for social safety and reinvestment in farmers,” mentioned Ms. Trinh.

As deliberate, the 2024 Krong Pac Durian Pageant with the theme “Krong Pac Durian – Growth and Integration” will happen at 8:00 p.m. on August 31 at Tan An Lake Sq. (Phuoc An City). The closing ceremony can be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 2.

In accordance with statistics, in 2024, all the Krong Pac district could have greater than 8,000 hectares of durian. The durian output in 2024 is predicted to succeed in over 92 thousand tons. Of which, there are a lot of durian varieties with prime quality and good yield reminiscent of Dona, Ri6, Musang King…
