After confirming the participation of Stan Wawrinka, Casper Ruud, and Alexander Bublik, the Gonet Geneva Open has announced that a top-10 player will join the field for its eleventh edition, scheduled from May 16 to 23 at the Parc des Eaux-Vives in Geneva.
The tournament, now established as a key event on the ATP Tour calendar ahead of Roland Garros, continues to build a strong field with multiple players ranked inside the world’s top 50 already committed. Earlier announcements had highlighted the return of two-time champion Stan Wawrinka, who won the title in 2016 and 2017, alongside Casper Ruud, seeking a fourth crown, and the entertaining Kazakhstani Alexander Bublik, ranked 11th in the world.
The addition of a top-10 player elevates the event’s status further, aligning with recent editions that have consistently attracted elite talent. In 2025, the Gonet Geneva Open featured Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz, both top-10 stars, with Fritz serving as the top seed. That year also saw sixteen of the world’s top fifty players participate, underscoring the tournament’s growing appeal on the European clay-court swing.
Organizers have emphasized the event’s unique atmosphere and commitment to innovation, including double-session scheduling and enhanced fan experiences. The Gonet Geneva Open remains a preferred preparation ground for players aiming to peak at the French Open, combining competitive rigor with the scenic setting of Geneva’s lakeside parks.
Ticket sales are now open, with information available through the tournament’s official channels. As the field continues to take shape, the Gonet Geneva Open reaffirms its position as one of the premier ATP 250 events on the calendar, blending sporting excellence with the tradition and hospitality of Swiss tennis.
