Updated June 16, 2025

After nearly 26 years in Times Square, ‘Good Morning America’ has a ⁤new home. The show premiered Monday from its new studio at the⁢ Robert A.⁤ Iger Building, located at 7 ⁢Hudson Square in⁢ Lower Manhattan. The move marks a notable consolidation for ABC News, bringing all New York facilities under one roof.

Co-anchor Robin Roberts acknowledged the transition at the top‌ of the show. “It’s a big day. Welcome to our new home,” Roberts said.

Fellow co-hosts George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan also commented on the new studio. Stephanopoulos said, “new day, new week, new home—good morning, America.” Strahan highlighted‍ the “beautiful location in the city,” as viewers saw a drone flyover of Studio C.

While the main team was in Lower ‍Manhattan,‍ Lara Spencer and Sam Champion remained at the Times Square location ⁢to gather ⁣belongings. A tour bus then transported them to the new studio.

Spencer and Champion later provided a tour of the new ⁣office space, including⁢ visits with ‘The View,’ ‘Live with Kelly‌ and‌ Mark,’ and a surprise appearance by ‘World News Tonight’ anchor David Muir. Muir showcased a hallway featuring images of past ABC News staffers, including Peter Jennings.

Becky Worley of ABC News offered a tour⁣ of the new ⁤neighborhood, noting that the complex occupies an entire block.

The consolidation ⁢places ABC News alongside ESPN and daytime shows like ‘Tamron Hall’ and ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ within the Robert A. Iger Building, named for the current Disney CEO.

With ‘GMA’s’ departure, ‘CBS mornings’ is now the only morning show still broadcasting from Times Square. Though, CBS⁢ News plans to move its morning ‌show back to the CBS Broadcast⁣ Center later this year.
