Google Keep Reminders Migrating to Tasks: Wider Rollout Announced
- As of January 16,2026,Google is completing the migration of reminders from Google Keep to Google Tasks across all user accounts.

Google Keep Reminders Now Fully Migrated to Google Tasks
As of January 16,2026,Google is completing the migration of reminders from Google Keep to Google Tasks across all user accounts. The rollout, which began in November 2025, is now fully implemented on Android, iOS, and the web version of Keep (keep.google.com).
Users will see a prompt stating “reminders are now Google Tasks” upon the update. Google Tasks will also automatically create a list titled “Old Google Keep reminders,” which can be deleted via the three-dot overflow menu.
View, edit and complete your reminders from Keep, Calendar, Tasks, Assistant, and Gemini.
The “Remind me later” options have been updated to include the Google Tasks icon, offering the following preset times:
- Tomorrow morning
- Tomorrow evening
- Next week
- Pick a date & time
Location-based reminders are no longer supported. Existing location data from Keep reminders will be added to the task description.
These migrated reminders will be accessible within Google Tasks, Calendar, Assistant, and Gemini.
