Google Meet is the ‍latest Google app to receive a Material 3‌ Expressive (M3E)‌ makeover. The redesign, now rolling out to Android users, brings visual and functional tweaks to the video conferencing platform. This update follows similar changes to Gmail, messages, and Phone apps, aligning Google Meet ⁢with the company’s evolving design language.

The moast ⁣noticeable change⁢ is on the pre-call screen, were the voice and video call buttons have been considerably enlarged. google previewed this change earlier this year. the profile image, name, and email of the‍ person being called are now centered in a pill-shaped container at the top of the screen. Users can scroll up to⁢ access additional options, such as the “Additional Encryption” toggle and the meeting link.

On the home screen,past calls are now ‌displayed ⁣in individual containers,with rounded corners on the first and last items in the list. Profile images within ⁣these cards have also been enlarged. The search bar,⁣ navigation drawer, and the “New” floating ⁤action button remain unchanged. No alterations were made to the Settings menu.
